Brij Bhushan is accused of sexually abusing 7 women wrestlers including a minor. Although international players started fighting against his exploits, the Delhi Police did not care at first. Two FIRs were finally registered against him with the intervention of the Supreme Court. Wrestlers who are very angry with the authorities are saying that till the arrest of Brij Bhushan, they will not take a step back and will not move from Jantar Mantar. A few days back, the Delhi Police had attacked the wrestlers in the middle of the night, which had created an uproar. However, they continued to protest. “When they won gold medals, they were welcomed by the Prime Minister himself. Now if they are fighting for justice, nobody cares,” said Jolly Sarkar, leader of Mahila Sanghatkar Sangathan. Prakash Devi, leader of the city’s Asha Workers’ Association, told the media that rallies and meetings are being held across the national capital Delhi to make common people aware of the struggle of the wrestlers.
