Our reporter PK Sanjun was able to taste the tour as part of a press event ahead of the official launch, and when he got back to the office he had to lie on the floor because he had eaten a lot.

This all-you-can-eat tour includes eight different types of pizza, all designed to capture the flavor of America’s most popular pizza.
PK immediately wanted to scoff a slice of each pizza upon seeing them, but first, he had to see a demo of how the pizzas are actually handmade at the store.
The sight of the pizza being made was enough to make PK grumble in his stomach. It was 9:15 in the morning and she had skipped breakfast to make sure she could fill up on pizza so she was extra hungry.
After dutifully taking a few photos, PK was finally allowed a tasting, and went out to grab everything he could.
Gathering his collection together, PK glances at the tables of other journalists around him and sees that none have as much food as the one in front of him.
Most of the reporters were showing polite restraint by munching on a slice or two gracefully, but as we all know, PK is not that kind of reporter. He knows exactly what our readers are interested in — food, and more — so he felt it was his duty to savor as much as he could with unabashed abandon.
So he made his way through eight slices of pizza, including flavored garden vegetable, Salmon Cream CheeseAnd Seafood American Tomato Pie,

Everything he ate was delicious, and he was proud to say that he ate everything on his table. It was an all-you-can-eat extravaganza that PK highly recommends trying, however, at 45, PK’s appetite isn’t what it once was, so be mindful of how much you eat. Depending on this it may be you later.
After collapsing on the floor in a carb-induced energy crash upon returning to the office, PK is completely wasted after his gourmet meal at Shakey’s.
When he finally snapped out of it, though, he opened his eyes and said one thing to all of us:

So there you have it – the American Pizza Tour is so good it’ll be tempting to eat more than you should, but if it leaves you in a post-meal stupor, you’ll soon be craving it again.
Thankfully — or unsurprisingly, depending on how you look at it — Shakey’s American Pizza Tour will be on for a while, so pizza hunters like PK have plenty of time to enjoy the campaign.
The pizza chain’s 50th anniversary will be available for six months of the year, first from June 1 to August 31 and again from September 1 to November 30.
