Sameer Wankhede reaches CBI office for questioning in Aryan Khan case, says Satyamev Jayate

Sameer Wankhede, former zonal director of NCB Mumbai, reached the CBI office on Saturday for questioning in the Aryan Khan drugs on cruise case. When reporters tried to speak with him, Wankhede said ‘Satyamev Jayate’, suggesting that there is truth in what he is saying and that truth will prevail in the end.

This comes after the Bombay High Court on Friday ordered no coercive action till May 22 against Sameer Wankhede in a corruption case related to the Cordelia Cruz drug bust. Wankhede had filed a petition seeking quashing of the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) FIR against superstar Shah Rukh Khan for allegedly demanding a bribe of Rs 25 crore to frame his son Aryan Khan in a drug case .

Months after the Wankhede hogged the limelight after Shah Rukh Khan’s son was put behind bars in the Drugs on Cruise case, crucial details in the case have been emerging. Recently, purported conversations between Bollywood stars Shah Rukh Khan and Sameer Wankhede were produced in the court to support the latter’s case. According to the chat logs, Shah Rukh Khan was seen appealing to Wankhede to be soft with his son Aryan Khan when he was caught in the cruise drug case.

The Mumbai High Court has received a document submitted by Wankhede, which purportedly contains conversations between him and Bollywood star Shah Rukh Khan.

Notably, the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) last year did not name Aryan Khan in the chargesheet in the case due to lack of evidence. Wankhede had offered to appear before the agency on Thursday when an FIR was registered against him and four others for allegedly trying to extort bribe from Shah Rukh Khan. Saying.

PTI reported the officials as saying that Wankhede did not appear for questioning on Thursday and the CBI would decide on the future course of action. Officials said a Special Investigation Team (SET) of the NCB had red-flagged several lapses and irregularities in the cruise ship operations carried out under Wankhede’s watch. The NCB had alleged that KP Gosavi and his associate Prabhakar Sail, now deceased, were included as independent witnesses in the cruise ship raid on October 2, 2021, on the instructions of Wankhede.
