The past few days have pointed to the end result for the Oregon Ducks that 5-star quarterback Dante Moore will end his commitment to the UCLA Bruins, and the latest intel from 247Sports’ Steve Wilftong may be the most damning information yet .
On Saturday morning, Wiltfong reported that at this point, all signs point to Moore committing to UCLA, and that it will require massive changes for Dan Lanning and the Ducks to hold onto the elite prospect .

Wiltfong wrote, “Friday night’s intel says it’s all but finished up in Westwood.” “Ducks head coach Dan Lanning and new offensive coordinator Will Stein are working to capture Moore late in the process, but that’s likely to happen unless something changes.”
Moore made an official visit to UCLA last weekend, which was the first sign of trouble for the Ducks, and since then talk of his possible flip has grown. The idea is that, in Los Angeles, Moore will have a path to start as a true freshman, while the same path in Eugene remains unclear with the potential return of Bo Knicks for the 2023 season.
There’s also the transfer QB situation to monitor, with UCLA hosting visits from both Kent State QB Collin Shelley and Clemson QB DJ Uigallei this weekend. If either one goes to UCLA, it could force Moore to reconsider his potential flip decision.
Whatever is going on, though, it’s clear at this point that the Ducks have to seriously worry about the potential of their 5-star QB flipping schools. They’re trying to get him on campus this weekend, but so far it doesn’t look like it’s worked out.
