Ohio State football no longer has a 2024 quarterback commitment.
Five-star quarterback and No. 1 player in the class of 2024, Dylan Raiola, announced Saturday that he is rescinding his commitment to Ohio State and reopening his recruiting, according to multiple reports.
In the days after Raiola was released, he scoured social media for anything about Ohio State, including his commitment video.
Raiola was Ohio State’s first commitment of the Class of 2024, which later added safety/linebacker Garrett Stover and offensive lineman Ian Moore as well as the No. 2 player in the class – five-star wide receiver Jeremiah Smith.
As a sophomore at Burleson High School in Texas, Raiola threw for 3,341 yards and 32 touchdowns before transferring to Chandler High School in Arizona.

Ohio State recently added four-star quarterback Lincoln Kienholz to the class of 2023. With CJ Stroud expected to declare for the 2023 NFL Draft, the Buckeyes are expected to be led by quarterbacks Kyle McCord and Devin Brown in the 2023 season.
In the 2023 class, Ohio State lost commitments to Ty Lockwood, the Buckeyes’ first commit, quarterback Brock Glenn, Mark Fletcher and cornerback Dejon Johnson.
Raiola had offers from schools including Alabama, Georgia, Oregon and USC, but committed to the Buckeyes in May before attending a summer recruiting camp with wide receiver and 2023 Ohio State commitment Carnell Tate this summer.
His uncle, Dominic Riola, is the offensive line coach at Nebraska.
