After proposing the purchase of the health center this summer, the municipality of Odos should finally give up acquiring the premises.
It was with a novelty regarding the health center that the last municipal council inaugurated at the end of August: after having worked to acquire the center (see our edition of June 22, 2023), launch it after a purchase procedure for an amount of 1,750,000 euros taxes included, and even deliberating in the municipal council for the preparation of an additional budget, the mayor of Odos, Isabelle Loubradou, announced that at the end of the last meeting held with health professionals, at the end of July, they had He made the decision to take control of his destiny. And take leadership of another project, to which we will return very soon.
Therefore, one thing is already certain: the municipality of Odosse renounces the purchase of the health center, and the councilor of Odosse welcomes for his part a “true dynamic initiated in Odos and the work in good understanding with health professionals health”, also specifying that there are serious avenues for the installation of other health professionals.
Other decisions of the municipal council
With the stadium road cemetery reaching its capacity limit, efforts have begun for an extension to the south and the acquisition of a new columbarium.
The famous speed bumps on the Chemin de Tarbes require improvement, in depth and height, and it is necessary to sign an agreement with the Departmental Council, with financing being the responsibility of the municipality.
Selected within the framework of the public lighting operation of the SDE 65 (Departmental Energy Union), the municipality will be able to renew the public lighting on Avenue des Genêts, in Bouscarou. This will be relevant at the end of the year, with the change of the masts and the installation of LED lighting (for an amount of €65,000, with the SDE paying €15,000). A renewal of the asphalt will be planned for the spring.
