Four people lying in a dark room. The police of Nantes (Loire-Atlantique) intervened on Saturday in an apartment where two women and two men were being held captive by two other individuals, a police source informs Le Parisien, confirming information from Western France.
According to the local newspaper, these two men, aged 20 and 27, were charged and a judicial investigation was opened for kidnapping with acts of torture and barbarity, gang rape at gunpoint, association of criminals and drug trafficking.
An intervention through a call
According to our information, the case began with a call from a woman on Saturday morning at 10:15 a.m., worried about not hearing from her son. The latter lives on rue de Madrid, in the Malakoff neighborhood of Nantes. Immediately afterwards, a police team attended the scene.
At the door they discover a scared man, who claims to be the tenant. He then breaks down crying and declares that he is being held captive by two people who are still in the apartment. They would force him to store drugs in his house. The tenant adds that three other people are captive with him in the apartment.
The police enter and arrive at a dark room where there are two women and a man prostrate. The two men believed to be behind this kidnapping are then in the bathroom. Arrested, they are taken into police custody. The search revealed that one of the two men was carrying an Opinel knife.
Rapes, beatings and torture
The testimonies of the other four people were collected and revealed that they had suffered serious acts of torture and barbarity. The two women show signs of violence on their faces and say that their heads were submerged in the bathtub water and they almost drowned. One also claims to have been raped at gunpoint. Her body has burn marks and bruises.
The man sequestered in the room had a nosebleed, possibly due to a fracture. All four victims were sent to the hospital; Their lives are not in danger. According to Ouest-France, they are between 34 and 57 years old.
The two accused men face life in prison.
