The Bharatiya Janata Party has refuted Congress MP Rahul Gandhi’s claim of ‘war threat’ from China, saying it is not ‘Nehru’s India that lost 37,242 sq km to China while it slept’. BJP spokesperson Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore also accused Gandhi of demoralizing the Indian Army.
Rathore was reacting to Rahul Gandhi’s claim on Friday that China is preparing for war and the Indian government is sleeping, reported NDTV.
“During his visit, Rahul Gandhi has made comments about Indian security and border areas to spread confusion in the country and demoralize Indian soldiers. This is not his great-grandfather Nehru’s India, which is 37,242 sq km from China while it sleeps. lost.” Rathore said at a press conference in New Delhi, referring to the 1962 war between India and China.
He said that Rahul Gandhi should not make “irresponsible remarks about national security” to “re-launch” himself.

Attacking Rahul Gandhi and taking a jibe at Pandit Nehru, he said, “After Rahul Gandhi’s great grandfather lost land in China, now he feels that there should be closeness with China, and he has developed such closeness with China.” Li said that he knows what China is.”
The former BJP minister said, “It was on the payroll of the Communist Party of China. The Congress party signed an agreement with the Communist Party of China.”
According to NDTV, Rathore claimed that several Chinese crimes had taken place during the Congress-led UPA government at the Centre.
Earlier, talking to reporters at one of the stops during his Bharat Jodo tour, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi alleged that China was preparing for war and the Indian government was sleeping on it and ignoring the danger.
He said, ‘I can see the danger of China very clearly. I have been clear about it for the last two-three years, but the government is trying to hide and ignore it. This danger can neither be hidden nor ignored. The Government of India is asleep with its entire aggressive preparation going on in Arunachal Pradesh and Ladakh.”
“The government doesn’t want to hear this, but their (China’s) preparations are on. The preparations are for war. It is not for infiltration, but for war. If you look at their weapon pattern, and what they are doing – – They are preparing for war. Our government hides it and is unable to accept it,” the former Congress chief said.
He said all this is happening because the Narendra Modi-led government works “event-based” and “does not work strategically”.
