It is to be noted that in recent weeks, the Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGIA) in the national capital has been battling congestion due to tourist rush, resulting in passengers waiting for hours. Many of them are even complaining about the situation on social media.
Against this backdrop, all concerned agencies are taking action, including increasing the number of security personnel at the gate, to ease passenger congestion amid a surge in domestic air passenger traffic.
Delhi airport said on Twitter that smooth movement of passengers was observed at all terminal entrances.
The airport said, “Updated at 21:10 hrs Terminal 3. Smooth movement of passengers observed with an average waiting time of 1-5 minutes at all terminal entrances.”
