The foundation stone of the health center on Avenue Pierre-Perron in Bgard was laid on Friday morning.
“The project began in 2021 during a meeting between elected officials and Bgard health professionals; It quickly took shape with the establishment of a steering committee,” said Mayor Vincent Clec’h. He recalled the different procedures carried out: visits to other healthcare residences, meetings between professionals, sending letters of intent from the 28 professionals interested in settling in, acquisition of land by the municipality, creation of an association of healthcare professionals to obtain Certification of the Regional Health Agency, the architects selected during the summer of 2022.
The building, with a surface area of about 1,032 m², will have several areas for patients, with independent entrances and exits, shared and specific consultation spaces, two treatment rooms, individual offices for doctors, examination for midwives…
In addition, a staff center is planned, with a rest and meeting room, open to professionals in the sector.
The building will also include 1,000 m2 of photovoltaic panels on the roof and a wood chip heating system. The total cost of the project is estimated at approximately €3,500,000 without taxes. It will benefit from a subsidy of 605,000 euros from the State within the framework of the Local Investment Support Subsidy (DSIL). The Regional Council contributes €232,600. Other grant applications from Guingamp-Paimpol Agglomération and the Department are still being processed.
