You won’t need spare change to buy Prince Harry’s explosive upcoming memoir, “Spare,” which has been heavily discounted this holiday season.
The 38-year-old estranged royal’s tale, which hits bookshelves on January 10, is available for free for Black Friday with a free trial of Audible, Amazon’s audiobook service.
Meanwhile, the hardcover edition of the book has been discounted for pre-sale to $23.12 instead of its usual $36 price tag. The large print paperback edition is discounted slightly less than $38 to $34.20.
Harry’s highly anticipated tell-all is 416 pages long and translated into 16 languages. Rumored to trace Ginger Royal’s bad blood with brother Prince William, it will also reportedly discuss her and Meghan Markle’s controversial decision to leave the royal family in 2020.
Even the title “spare” has given rise to rumors and speculation that it refers to Harry’s lifelong role as William’s “spare” heir.
According to royal author Richard Fitzwilliams, the title is “sensational” and “implies [Harry] Was not valued or … that he did not feel at the center of events.
Fitzwilliams previously told the Daily Mail that Harry’s relatives are “extremely nervous” about the book.
“The consequences of this would be far-reaching and could be extremely devastating,” Fitzwilliams told the outlet.
“There will undoubtedly be interviews, serialization and endless speculation about this memoir,” he continued, adding that he thinks the father of two “should have waited many years” to share his story.
The royal expert said the memoir has Buckingham Palace “very concerned, particularly as these are the early months of King Charles’ reign.”
