A special court here canceled the bailable warrants issued against Amravati MP Navneet Rana and her MLA husband Ravi Rana after they appeared on Saturday in a case of resisting arrest and preventing policemen from performing their duty. The special judge directed him to attend the court dates and cooperate in early disposal of the case.

Special Judge RN Rokade had during the previous hearing issued bailable warrants against the couple for failing to appear as per the charge sheet filed by the police in the case.
They have been directed to appear in court on December 14 and get the warrants canceled by paying Rs 5,000 each. However, they did not appear, following which the court again issued bailable warrants.

On Saturday, the Rana couple appeared before the special judge and filed a petition seeking cancellation of the warrant.
The court allowed their application subject to the condition that the accused would appear on the court dates and cooperate to ensure speedy disposal of the matter.
