The COVID pandemic pushed companies around the world into an unplanned experiment of remote working to keep businesses running after strict safety measures were put in place.
Now that employees have realized that working from home is possible, many are reluctant to go back to the office, or at least not full time.
Globally, almost one-quarter of workers would quit or start looking for another job if they were asked to return to work five days a week, research has found. Many people want flexible work hours or a shorter work week.
We speak to Adrian Wright, director of the Institute for Research into Organisation, Work and Employment (iROWE), and Anthony Lepineteur, research scientist at the University of Luxembourg.
