Bengaluru: With the release of the Karnataka assembly election schedule, all the parties are preparing their campaign strategy. On the other hand, the main parties Congress, BJP and JDS are confident of their victory. Karnataka Congress Party President DK Shivakumar said that they will get two-thirds of the total 224 seats in the state.
Shivakumar said that this time he does not want to form an alliance with any party. He said that JDS, which has always been the king maker, will not have that chance this time. Because this time they are going to achieve a bigger success than the magic number needed to form the government. He said that Kannada people are tired of the BJP rule and hence they now want a change.
DK Shivakumar criticized that the BJP had made over 600 promises to the people of the state but fulfilled only 50 of them. He said that BJP is not focusing on development but on religious politics. All the 224 assembly seats in Karnataka will go to polls in a single phase on May 10. The results will be declared on 13 May.
