Congress has reached stage of mental bankruptcy: JP Nadda hits out at party over Rahul’s remarks

BJP President JP Nadda on Sunday targeted Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, saying those who do not believe in democracy will have no place in it. Accusing Rahul Gandhi of crossing the limits of democracy, Nadda said he should be sent packed “lock, stock and barrel” in a democratic manner.

Speaking during the inauguration of the ‘National Youth Parliament’ of the BJP’s youth wing Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha in Chennai, he said, “Those who do not believe in democracy have no place in democracy,” news agency PTI reported. “

Nadda said, ‘Rahul Gandhi has crossed all limits of democracy.’ Addressing the crowd virtually, he said that the Congress party has reached a state of mental bankruptcy.

He further alleged that Gandhi instigated foreign powers like the US and European countries to interfere in India’s internal affairs.

He told people not to pay heed to Rahul’s words and just “tolerate” him.

The BJP president said, “Rahul Gandhi has not only insulted the country with his shameful remarks about India’s democratic values, but has also invited foreign countries to interfere in our country,” as quoted by PTI Has been done

However, the Congress party has denied all the allegations of the BJP. The party said Gandhi is trying to get a chance to speak in Parliament and is responding to all criticism accordingly.

The Congress said the BJP was “misrepresenting” Gandhi’s statements to divert attention from the Adani issue in the country.

Earlier, during an interaction in UK, Rahu Gandhi said that the structure of Indian democracy is under attack in India. He said that there was a “full-scale attack” on democratic institutions in India.

His comments have sparked a political crisis in India as the BJP has been saying that he has tarnished India’s image abroad.

Meanwhile, Delhi Police reached Congress MP Rahul Gandhi’s residence in connection with the notice served to him earlier on Sunday.

The police had sought information about victims of ‘sexual assault’, which he had mentioned in his speech during the Bharat Jodo Yatra. Special CP (L&O) Sagar Preet Hooda has reached his residence for this.

Talking to reporters, Special CP Hooda said that the Congress leader has been informed and is aware that he is here. He said that he was there to know about the notice sent earlier.
