As announced during the month of August, the Cafeyn service is no longer offered in Canal+ offers since yesterday. The Vivendi subsidiary now offers its Press Pass to replace it.
Canal+ subscribers now have a new service to try to access their favorite newspapers with the Press Pass. This is a new service launched by Prisma media, a company also belonging to Vivendi. It is included for subscribers of the encrypted channel, but is available to everyone as a subscription at €9.99/month with a one-month trial.
This service replaces the platform that brings together numerous press titles called Cafeyn and provides access to titles that belong to the Prisma group, but not only. In addition to “Voici”, “Télé Loisirs”, “GEO”, “Femme Actuelle”, you can also find other publications such as Le Point, Society, Nice Matin. Conversations are also being held with several important actors in the national daily press.
The interface is divided into several sections, depending on the type of title (daily, monthly, regional press, etc.) but you can also define areas of interest to find the newspapers that interest you the most. A favorites system is also available for your favorite titles and articles and you can download them to view even without an internet connection.
You can simply log in with your Canal+ credentials by searching for the app in your app store. It is also possible to access it through the “channels and applications” section of myCanal.
