An educator accused of sexual touching of minors: “My son suffers from Stockholm syndrome,” testifies the mother of a victim “Two years ago I put my ten-year-old son in this boarding school because he suffered from a serious behavioral disorder. Last year I found out that one of the educators had sexually abused him and six other children. He touched them while they were sleeping, “They pampered them, they touched their genitals,” explains the mother of one of the victims.
“My son didn’t say anything to me but I noticed a change in his behavior. He was becoming friendlier. It turns out that he suffers from Stockholm syndrome and has feelings for this educator,” the mother continues.
It was during a camp that the facts were revealed. “Two children were talking when an educator approached them and overheard them. While he was talking to the children, he realized that abuse had occurred and the parents were notified. As of now, my son is in the hospital for three months under observation because he has tried to commit suicide since he no longer sees the educator. He does not understand and does not feel like a victim, he feels a lack,” he concludes.
The trial was supposed to begin last May but the request to postpone the hearing was accepted and therefore began this Tuesday. The sentence is expected to be handed down on October 17. The management of the institution has become a civil party in this lawsuit. “We hope that he receives a sentence in accordance with the acts committed,” concludes the mother.
